hi there!👋

this is our little love story.

it all started in a target parking lot...

on a warm summer day in August, Grace was building up the courage to dial the number, while Al, on the other hand, was eating a bowl of cereal after football practice. neither of us knew that the next few minutes would change our lives forever.

shaking, Grace hit the call button. a few seconds later, she heard Al on the other line. after a nervous introduction, Grace asked Al on a date to the Sam Smith concert. and so our story began, Al said yes!!

the rest was history.

we quickly fell in love and became Layton High’s newest sweethearts. we dated from the fall of 2018 until the summer of 2019, making memories all along the way. from Ms. Ferrin’s chemistry class, to fancy Friday dinner dates, and late night drives in the BMW, it seemed we were always together.

it's not goodbye, it's see you later.

Al left for his mission to Honduras in July of 2019, leaving Grace to finish her senior year alone. We wrote as much as we could, waiting 4-6 weeks for that special letter to come in the mail.

fast forward to March 2020, that time when everyone thought the world was ending. Grace had plans to break up with Al, but her mom insisted to wait a few weeks and see it through. the day after (literally), Al wrote with the news that he’d be coming home that week due to COVID-19. God made known His plans for us.

a heaven sent half-time break.

two months later, after boat trips and deep convos, Al was reassigned to Nashville, TN to finish his mission.

long distance pt.✌️

while Al was busy serving in the South, Grace got her associate’s degree at Weber State and was preparing to leave on a mission herself.

June 16 is a day that we love and hate. Grace got her mission call to the South Carolina, Columbia mission, while Al was approaching the end of his 2 years. The catch? The day Al returned was the day Grace began.

same, but different. 🙁

a love story that lasts.

at the conclusion of Grace’s mission, she moved to Logan where Al was going to school at Utah State. although it took some time to pick up where they left off, both grew closer together and fell yet again for each other.

Al proposed to Grace on January 7 to seal the deal. And that brings our little love story to right here…

May 20, here we come!

Thanks for reading! We sure do appreciate your love and support.
We can’t wait to see you on our special day. 🫶
